School Board Election Information
The Board of Trustees consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted annually in May. While candidates run for specific seats, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents all students and all residents of Tioga ISD.

NOTICE OF DEADLINE TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR A PLACE ON THE BALLOT
Voting will take place at the Tioga Fire Department Meeting Room; 601 Main Street, Tioga, Texas and other Grayson County polling places to be determined by Grayson County Election Administration.
The seats up for election at that time are:
Seat 3 - currently held by Ryan Walters
Seat 5 – currently held by Holly Mizer
Seat 7 - currently held by Trina Colteryahn
Those interested in applying for a seat on the School Board and who meet the eligibility requirements may complete an application for a place on the ballot. Applications are available from Sondra Hall at the Tioga High School campus.
Office Hours are M-F 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
**The filing period begins January 14th, 2026 and ends February 13th, 2026 at 5 P.M.**
To be eligible for school board service, an individual must**:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have not been determined to be mentally incapacitated
- Have not been convicted of a felony charge
- Must be a resident of Texas (12 months) and the Tioga Independent School District (6 months)**
- Be registered to vote in Tioga ISD **
