Drug, Alcohol, and Vaping Information

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Tioga Police Department are working together to present two different programs, one to the adults and another to the 9th through 12th grade students in our community. The programs, funded through a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation, are designed to educate and raise awareness about drugs, vaping, and alcohol.

On Wednesday, November 13th at 6:00 in the Tioga High School Cafeteria the Extension Service will hold an interactive program to educate adults on the recent trends in alcohol, vaping, and drugs that students now face. Any parent, staff member, or community member is welcome to attend. See the attached flyer for more information about the event.

Thursday, November 14th the Extension Office and the Tioga Police Department will be on the Tioga High School Campus to provide information to our students in a morning assembly and through a rotation of multiple real world simulations that teach the effects and dangers of drugs and alcohol. For more information on the program that will be presented to Tioga High School students visit  https://watchurbac.tamu.edu/.

If you do not wish for your student to participate in the assembly or simulations on Thursday, November 14th, provide a written note to the front office of Tioga High School by the end of the school day on Wednesday, November 13th.
