Daily Schedule

Just wanted to pass the word along about our daily schedule.  It is slightly different than last year, with an earlier start time.

Our school day starts at 7:50 each morning and ends at 3:18.  Home room period is from 7:50 to 8:18.  During this time students will be rotated through activities for tutoring and for enrichments.  Small groups of students needing extra help can be targeted by home room teachers.  On some days, students will work independently on computer programs such as Study Island or Orchard.  Both of these computer programs allow students to advance at their own pace and have work available in all of the core subject areas.  Study Island can be accessed on any computer with internet connection by typing in the address www.studyisland.com .  Other days, students will work to improve their reading skills using an SRA reading kit which targets comprehension and vocabulary as well as word attack skills and study strategies using stories that increase in difficulty as the student’s reading ability progresses.

 Elementary students who want to eat breakfast at school should arrive at least by 7:35am in order to have time before the bell rings at 7:50 to begin class.  Middle school students will have their breakfast break at 9:13.  The lunches for the primary hallway are: 10:50, 10:55, and 11:00.   The second through fourth grades have lunch at: 11:25, 11:30, and 11:35.  Middle school students eat at 12:09.  You can sign in at the office and join your student for lunch anytime!
